Macedonia, China,Serbia and Hungary to Discuss Ease of Customs Formalities

 Customs representatives from Macedonia, China ,Serbia and Hungary met in Skopje in the past two days to discuss an action plan to introduce an electronic transit procedure for transportation of goods.

The Macedonian Customs Service informed that the participants discussed represented their experiences in reducing illegal trade and in speeding up customs formalities.

The four countries agreed to simplify and speed up customs formalities at a meeting in Belgrade in 2014. China has announced major plans for the Balkans as a shipping route for its goods to central Europe, starting off in the Greek port of Piraeus that Chinese companies are in the process of buying.
