China and Macedonia signed Tourism Memorandum of Understanding

Chinese Ambassador to Macedonia, H. E. Mr. Dong Chunfeng, on behalf of National Tourism Administration of China, and H. E. Mr. Fatir Besimi, Minister of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Macedonia, signed in Skopje "Memorandum of Understanding between the National Tourism Administration of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Macedonia on the Facilitation of Group Travel by Chinese Tourists to the Republic of Macedonia". In the framework of this MOU, China and Macedonia will collaborate to launch and facilitate tourist groups from China to travel to Macedonia.

 

      

 

In the speech during the signing ceremony, Ambassador H. E. Mr. Dong Chufeng said, with China's opening up and reform and with the continuous improvement of the Chinese people's living standards, more and more Chinese citizens have become financially capable of traveling abroad. In 2009, the number of outbound tourists from China is over 48 million, which shows a broad market prospect of China's outbound tourism. With a long history and profound culture, with beautiful natural sceneries, Macedonia is rich in tourism resources and has a big development potential in tourism. It's a firm belief that the signature of the tourism MOU will greatly promote bilateral tourism cooperation.

   

       

 

In the speech, Minister H.E. Mr. Fatmir Besimi said that China has become one of the largest countries for outbound tourist in recent years. The signature of the tourism MOU, will guarantee to facilitate the Chinese tourists to Macedonia. It's a hope that with mutual efforts more and more Chinese tourists would come to Macedonia.
