On September 24, 2026, the Embassy of China in North Macedonia hosted a reception to celebrate the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. More than 450 guests attended the reception, including Deputy President of the Government Ljupcho Dimovski, ministers, MPs and mayors, diplomatic envoys, representatives of Chinese enterprises and the Chinese community in North Macedonia.

In her speech, H.E. Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan stated that China is embarking with confidence on a new journey to advance national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization. China remains committed to openness, shared benefits and win-win cooperation, continues to pursue high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, upholds the Four Global Initiatives, and promotes the building of a community with a shared future for humanity.

This year marks the inaugural year of China's 15th Five-Year Plan. China's economic development is embracing new momentum, people's lives are taking on a vibrant new look, and opening-up and cooperation are generating new opportunities. China's new development will continue to create new opportunities and inject fresh impetus into global development.

China and North Macedonia enjoy highly complementary economies, with practical cooperation gaining steady momentum and traditional friendship deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. Ambassador Jiang expressed the hope that China and North Macedonia will further enhance mutual trust, support each other's success, and work together to create an even brighter future for bilateral relations.

The reception was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Guests enjoyed wonderful performances by musicians from both countries, spoke highly of China's remarkable development achievements and its sense of responsibility as a major country, exchanged views on future cooperation, and expressed their shared wishes for peace and prosperity.
