On September 10, 2026, H.E. Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan was invited to watch the friendship match of the First China-North Macedonia Youth Table Tennis Training Camp at the Olympic Sports Center Jane Sandanski - Skopje.

The Camp was jointly organized by the Table Tennis Association of North Macedonia and the China Table Tennis College of Shanghai University of Sport. The Chinese delegation, led by Olympic and world champions Mr. Yan Sen, Vice President of the China Table Tennis College, and Mme. Zhang Yining, Professor of the China Table Tennis College and the only female player in the world who has won two Grand Slams, provided technical guidance for the training camp.

More than 30 players and coaches participated in the Camp, including promising young Chinese players selected by the China Table Tennis College, as well as players and coaches from North Macedonia, Serbia and other neighboring countries.

Ambassador Jiang commended the Table Tennis Association of North Macedonia for its active efforts in establishing close ties with the Chinese Table Tennis Association and the China Table Tennis College. Since last year, quite a few Macedonian representatives have participated in training programs in China and at the European branch of the China Table Tennis College in Luxembourg. Their competitive performance has improved significantly, while the training system has become more scientific, professional and standardized, encouraging more and more Macedonian young people to take up table tennis.

Ambassador Jiang stressed that table tennis will serve as a bridge for young people from the two countries to learn from each other, deepen mutual understanding and friendship, and contribute to building a China-Europe partnership among civilizations.

Representatives of the Table Tennis Association of North Macedonia and the Macedonian Olympic Committee expressed their appreciation for China's dispatch of a world-class delegation to North Macedonia, noting that all participants cherish this opportunity. They said the Camp marked a milestone in the history of table tennis in North Macedonia. They will continue their efforts to promote table tennis and look forward to developing and strengthening institutionalized cooperation with their Chinese counterparts.
