H.E. Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan Attends the Dialogue for Unity and Peace 2026

From June 22 to 24, the Chinese Embassy in North Macedonia, in collaboration with the International Center Alliance of Civilizations (ICAC), co-hosted the Dialogue for Unity and Peace 2026 in Skopje. The opening ceremony featured addresses by Former President of North Macedonia Mr. Gjorge Ivanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Government Mr. Ljupcho Dimovski, Vice President of Chinese Association for International Understanding Mr. Liu Hongcai, and Mme. Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan. The event was also attended by former foreign ministers of Serbia, Croatia, and Türkiye, along with representatives from political, business, and academic sectors.

In her speech, Ambassador Jiang drew on the 5,000-year history of Chinese civilization and the 105-year journey of the Communist Party of China to explain the historical, cultural, and theoretical foundations of China’s commitment to peaceful development and independence, and how these deeply rooted values have been translated into concrete actions. She reaffirmed that China will continue to uphold the values of harmony and cooperation, remain committed to the right path, and pursue unity and shared prosperity based on equity and integrity, and actively implement the four major global initiatives. She called for greater unity and collaborative synergy to jointly build a community with a shared future for humanity.

Participants commended the achievements of Chinese modernization and China’s important contributions to global development and international affairs. They also suggested that the Balkans countries should better leverage its geographical advantage as a key transit hub, deepen connectivity within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, and strengthen regional and inter-regional linkages.
