Recently, diplomatic envoys of European countries to China including France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria, Sweden, Iceland, Latvia, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic, Spain, Estonia, Poland, Switzerland, the Hellenic Republic, Cyprus, Slovenia, Belgium, Norway, Albania, Italy, Montenegro, Finland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Denmark, and Croatia, as well as the European Union, went to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to mourn Comrade Jiang Zemin. They left messages on the condolence book, expressed deep condolences over the passing of Comrade Jiang Zemin, extended sincere sympathies to Comrade Jiang Zemin’s family, and spoke highly of Comrade Jiang Zemin’s important contributions to China's development and progress, to advancing exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe, and to peace and development of the world.

Vice Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and Assistant Foreign Minister Xu Feihong expressed their gratitude to the diplomatic envoys who came to convey condolences.
