Sept. 15, Mr. Sang Guowei, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of National People's Congress of China began his visit to Macedonia and had a meeting with Mr. Trajko Veljanoski, President of the Assembly. Ambassador Cui Zhiwei also attended the meeting.

President Veljanoski welcomed Sang for his visit on the occasion of 20th Anniversary of Independence of Macedonia, expressed gratitude for China's stance in the name issue, emphasized that Macedonia valued China-Macedonia relations, stick to one-China policy and would be willing to deepen cooperation in all fields. Macedonia Assembly would also be willing to enhance exchanges and cooperation with National People's Congress of China.

Sang emphasized that China appreciated Macedonia's stance for one-China policy and respect the development path chosen by Macedonia people. China-Macedonia relations has been highly developed in recent years, with deeper mutual political trust and fruitful exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, culture and education etc. China is ready to enhance collaboration with Macedonia to advance the overall development of China-Macedonia relations.

Sang began his visit on Sept.15 and would leave Macedonia on Sept. 18.
