On February 12, 2025, the Confucius Institute at UKIM hosted a Lantern Festival Gala in North Macedonia National Opera and Ballet. Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of China in North Macedonia Mr. Xu Lei and the Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute Mr. Liao Wei attended and delivered speeches. The event drew over 150 friends and representatives from all walks of life, including the President of the Macedonian-Chinese Association for Friendship Mr. Ljupcho Malenkov.
