On August 24, 2024, the "Chinese-Macedonian Poetry Workshop" opened in Ohrid. Mr. Xu Lei, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of China in North Macedonia attended the event and delivered speeches.

Co-hosted by the Knowledge Centre of Sinology in North Macedonia and Beijing Language and Culture University, the workshop gathered over 20 poets and sinologists from both countries to explore the theme "Poetry in Translation Between Civilizations."
