The Minister of Economy Driton Kuchi, today had a work meeting with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Skopje. They  discussed the fruitful cooperation between the two friendly countries.

 

 

 Ambassador Wen Zhenshun used this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Driton Kuchi on his appointing for Minister of Economy and wished him a successful work, confirming the strong support from PR China to Macedonia and the Ministry of Economy.

At the meeting were discussed the implemented projects in the energy sector, as it was the construction of the power plant Kozjak, and the Chinese side emphasized the interest of Chinese companies in construction of power plants Chebren and Galishte. They also mentioned the projects for construction of road infrastructure in Macedonia that are being implemented, such as the highway Kichevo - Ohrid - Struga.

The Minister Kuchi expressed gratitude for the cooperation and voiced hope that it will be deepen and highlighted the need of building the road Skopje - Blace, which is quite frequent and very important for the trade exchange between Macedonia and Kosovo.

The Chinese side noted that this year should be realized the meeting of the Joint Committee of Economy and Trade between Macedonia and China in Skopje, after the one realized in Beijing. And the Chinese side extended an invitation to Minister Kuchi to attend the International Fair of investments in Xiamen, in September this year.
