Ambassador Wen Zhenshun held a reception celebrating the 66th National Day of China

On 29th September 2015, Mr. Wen Zhenshun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Macedonia, hosted a reception to celebrate the 66th Anniversary of the Foundation of the PR China in Hotel Aleksandar Palace, Skopje. Around 300 guests attended the great celebration, among them were President Gjorge Ivanov, Assembly Speaker Trajko Velijanoski, Deputy Prime Minister Musa Xahaferi, Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Besimi, Vice President of the Assembly Rafiz Aliti, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dranaga Kirpijanovska, Governor of the National Bank of Macedonia Dimitar Bogov, President of the Parliamentary Group for Cooperation with China Silvana Boneva, Mayor of Skopje Koce Trajanovski, Mayor of Tetovo Teuta Arifi, and other dignitaries of Macedonia, Diplomatic Corps, friends from different sectors of the Macedonian society, representatives of Chinese institutions and Chinese Community  in Macedonia.

In his speech, Ambassador Wen briefed the guests on the latest development and new achievements of the bilateral relations between China and Macedonia in the last year. He stressed that during the development of the friendly relations with Macedonia, China always adhere to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and hopes the domestic situation of Macedonia will continue to be eased and stabilized. He also made a thorough introduction of the recent development trend of China's economy, which is stable and moving in a positive direction. He spoke highly of Macedonia, as a country along "the Belt and Road ", actively participating in the Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries as well as supporting the plan of building China-Europe Land-Sea Express Line. Ambassador Wen said, China is ready to strengthen friendly cooperation with Macedonia in various fields to achieve mutual benefit and win-win.

Chinese and Macedonien guests chatted cheerfully about the friendships and cooperations, they also watched with interest the promotional videos on China's social-economic development and "the Belt and Road initiative". The reception was filled with festive and friendly atmosphere.

At the start of the reception, Ms. Suzana Spasovksa, a famous Macedonian soprano, sang the national anthems of both countries. She received warm applause from the guests, after she sang the "March of the Volunteers" in Chinese. During the reception, 4M string band from Macedonian National Symphony Orchestra performed for the guests Chinese music tracks "Jasmin", "Today is your birthday" and Macedonian music tracks "Jovano Jovanko" ,"Kasapsko oro" and so on.
