The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Macedonia Holds the 2014 Spring Festival Reception

On 23 January 2014, Ambassador Cui Zhiwei of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Macedonia held a Spring Festival Reception. Nearly 100 overseas Chinese and employees of the Chinese companies based in Macedonia as well as the embassy staff attended the event to celebrate the traditional Chinese New Year.

Ambassador Cui gave his speech 

In his New Year speech, Ambassador Cui extended season's greetings to all the attendees, and briefly introduced major achievements of China's reforms and friendly cooperation between China and Macedonia in the past year. Ambassador Cui said that 2013 had a special and important meaning for China. Under the guidance of the new team of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC) leaders that Secretary General Xi Jinping heads, the Chinese people has been implementing the spirits and policies made by the CPC's 18th National Congress, setting out a new journey of realizing the "Chinese Dream" after the CPC had set the goals of building a moderately prosperous society by 2021 and building a prosperous, strong democratic, culturally advanced, harmonious and modernized socialist country by 2049. Meanwhile, the friendship between China and Macedonia has maintained a steady growth. Many breakthroughs were made in economic and cultural fields, which promised a bright future of bilateral cooperation. Mr. Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the country fellows for their contribution to the motherland and the friendship of the two countries. He stressed that the Embassy will continue to provide excellent service based on the principle of "putting peoples' interest first" and "conducting diplomacy for the people".
