On 4 February 2013, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of Macedonia held a Spring Festival Reception. More than 70 overseas Chinese and employees of Chinese companies stationed in Macedonia attended the event. Ambassador Cui Zhiwei delivered a warm New Year greeting to the audience.
Ambassador Cui introduced in details a wide variety of political, economic, cultural and educational exchanges and cooperation between China and Macedonia during Year 2012. In his speech, Ambassador Cui said that the successfully concluded 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) clarified the country's aim of building a well-off society. The past year is of great significance to the development of China, as the living standard of the people has been continuously improved, and the whole society enjoys harmony and stability. Ambassador also encouraged all overseas Chinese and Chinese company employees to continue their collaboration in the coming year. He stressed that, by showing concerns and giving support to China's development, each of us would contribute to further enhance the friendly relations between the two countries in one way or another.
The Embassy staff and the guests exchanged their New Year wishes and enjoyed a festive and joyful evening. From beginning to end, the audience were immersed in an atmosphere of happiness and harmony.
