To provide visa applicants with standard and quality services, in accordance with the unified deployment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Republic of North Macedonia will launch the online visa application and appointment system from August 1st, 2020. The specific arrangements are as follows:

        1. As of August 1st, visa applicants are required to log onChina Online Visa Application (COVA) http://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn and fill in the visa application form online. After completing the form online, the applicants may enter the visa appointment interface by clicking the button of "Start to book appointment", or afterwards log onAppointment for Visa Application Submission (AVAS) http://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn, enter your contact information and Application ID to make an appointment for visa application. Applicants are required to submit passports and other required documents to the Chinese Embassy with the printed complete application form and signed Confirmation of Online Visa Application as per scheduled appointment.

        2. Exceptions to the above arrangements:

        I. Applicants for visa for Hong Kong and Macao SAR of China do not need online application and appointment.

        II. Applicants for diplomatic or official visa do not need online appointment. However, applicants are required to fill in and print the complete online application form pursuant to the above-mentioned requirements. Applicants may directly submit the application to the Chinese Embassy visa office.

        3. Visa Application During COVID-19 Period:

        In order to aviod invalid application due to unqualified documents, applicants can send documents required for visa application to consulate_mkd@mfa.gov.cn  one week before online visa appointment. the Embassy will review your application and inform you via telephone or email whether you can apply or not.
