Notice on144-Hour Visa-Free Transt for Citizens of the Republic of Macedonia in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province

Effective from January 30, 2016, travelers from 51 countries, including Macedonian citizens will be able to enjoy a transit in 144-hour stay in Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang without a visa, as long as they hold a ticket to a third country and proof of identity, and allowed to travel within Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province during the visa-free period.

This visa exemption policy is official implemented in Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Hongqiao International Airport, Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal, Wusong International Cruise Port, Nanjing Lukou International Airport and Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport.

Foreigners applicable to this policy are allowed to entry from anyone of above ports, travel across Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and finally exit from anyone of above ports.

Travelers from below 51 countries are entitled to this visa exemption program:

24 countries in European Schengen Visa Agreement: Austria, Belgium, Czech, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

13 other European countries: Russia, U.K., Ireland, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Rumania, Ukraine, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania.

6 countries from America: U.S.A., Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Chile.

2 countries from Oceania: Australia and New Zealand.

6 countries from Asia: South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, UAE and Qatar.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security, travelers who enjoy this 144 hours transit without visa policy arriving at Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang must meet all following conditions:

1. Citizens are from the counties that in the visa exemption list in accordance with this policy. Currently the list is limited to above 51 counties.

2 .The travelers must be in possession of valid international traveling documentation to prove their nationality and identity. The travelers with other persons' documentation or expired documentation are prohibited to enjoy this policy.

3 .The travelers must meet the entry conditions required by the destination country or region, such as the valid visa.

4. The travelers must hold the proof of onward tickets( including air tickets, train tickets and cruise tickets) departure in 144 hours to the third country or region with confirmed date and seat.
