Macedonian Culture Minister Attends China­-CEEC Cultural Cooperation Forum in Sofia

Culture Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-­Milevska will pay a visit Friday and Saturday to Bulgaria where she is to attend Second Forum on Cultural Cooperation between People's Republic of China and Central and Eastern European Countries (CEEC).

Kanceska-­Milevska is scheduled to address Friday the panel discussion on "Current challenges in cultural heritage management and exchange of cultural values." She is also set to meet with several cultural ministers from the region including the Bulgarian Culture Minister Vezhdi Rashidov and to sign a program for cultural cooperation between two ministries for the period 2015-­2017. On Saturday, Kanceska-­Milevska is to meet with her Chinese counterpart Luo Shugang, the Culture Ministry said in a press release.

 During the event, culture ministers from China and CEE countries will focus on current challenges in the   management  of cultural heritage and exchange of cultural values; promoting the exchange of products of cultural and creative industries as important engines of economic development; and encouraging the mobility of artists and the exchange of works of contemporary art.

Participants are also expected to adopt a declaration whose implementation would contribute to the fortifying of the forum on cultural cooperation as a tool for permanent cooperation between CEE countries and China.
