 Today /14.02.2015, Saturday / in the City Shopping Mall (GTC), the manifestation "Chinese Spring Festival in Skopje" took place, where at a stage and at a number of , the citizens of Skopje had the opportunity to learn about some of the rich Chinese culture.This manifestation is part of the events marking the 30th anniversary of the twinning between the City of Skopje and Nanchang (People's Republic of China).
 The stage featured a number of dancers and musicians from the cultural ensemble of Nanchang, who yesterday also performed the show "Happy Chinese New Year, amazing Nanchang" at the Macedonian National Theatre. At the set stands, attendees had the opportunity to get various souvenirs, books and items typical of the Chinese culture, and on some of the stands there were presentations for the citizens of Skopje of a greater number of Chinese companies. The "Chinese Spring Festival in Skopje" was also visited by the Mayor of the City of Skopje, Koce Trajanovski, and the President of the Council of the City of Skopje, Irena Misheva, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, Wen Zenshun and Zhou Shuling, Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Congress of Nanchang.
 The cities of Skopje and Nanchang have been twinned since 1985 and it is the only Asian city with which the City of Skopje has this level of cooperation.Nanchang is the capital of the province Jiangxi in southeast China. Located 60 kilometers from the Yangtze River and spreads on the banks of the River Ghan. Nanchang city is famous for the Public Square, which is the second largest public square in China, right behind Tianamen Square in Beijing. Nanchang has a population of about 5 million. |
