Macedonia and China Sign Customs Cooperation Plan

Macedonian, Serbian and Hungarian Customs Administrations have signed a cooperation and facilitation plan on customs clearance for 2015/2016 with People's Republic of China.

The plan establishes contact points and mechanisms for cooperation and facilitating of the Framework Agreement for cooperation and customs clearance.

The plan is signed within the Forum of Directors "Economic Belt on the Silk Road" held in China.

The aim is to establish a connection and customs development and there are representatives from 60 countries, high representatives of all relevant and European organizations related to customs work as well as the Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuriya.

During the first session of the Forum, Director of Macedonian Customs Administration Natasa Radeska-Krstevska had an opening speech on "Current development situation of Macedonian Customs and further challenges".

The Forum is expected to stimulate further networking and communication between customs that is supposed to result with customs facilitation, maintenance of security, support of the mutual cooperation through the use of technological innovations, capacity development, promoting openness for cooperation and promotion of investment opportunities.
