PM Gruevski :Construction of Kicevo-Ohrid Road Goes as Planned

Construction of the Kicevo-Ohrid road is going according to plans, with a quarter of the 60km-long, EUR 374    million-worth route already broken through, said Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Sunday.

A vast majority of the workers come from Macedonian companies and the current number of 600 will increase in the future. Activities over opening of the 2km-long Preseka tunnel have also been launched", PM Gruevski told reporters after the opening of a sports hall in Plasnica municipality.

He said a call for concession of the Kicevo-Gostivar motorway section would be released next month.

 I believe the call will be successful, thus encircling the motorway section of Corridor 8", underlined Gruevski.

The chinese company Sinohydro is engaged in Projects for the construction of highways Miladinovci – Shtip and Kichevo – Ohrid.
