     Industrial production in 2014 rose by 4.8% compared to 2013, statistics show

 

Macedonian industrial production last December increased by 0.7% compared to December 2013, according to data of the State Statistical Office released on Wednesday.

Industrial production in the section mining and quarrying in December 2014 decreased by 6.6% in comparison with December 2013 and in the section manufacturing industry it increased by 2.7%. Industrial production dropped by 5% in the section electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply.

Industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2014, in comparison with December 2013, was higher in intermediate goods industries, except energy by 8.0%, capital goods industries by 47.1% and durable consumer goods industries by 16.9%, but it was lower in energy by 12.2%, and non-durable consumer goods industries by 10.2%
