Macedonia GDP stands at 4,1 Percent in Q3

According to State Statistical Office data, the growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2014 was 4.1%.
In this quarter, the biggest increase was recorded in manufacturing by 16.6%, in arts, entertainment and recreation, other service activities, activities of households as employers, undifferentiated goods and services producing activities of households for own use by 11.6%;professional, scientific and technical activities, administrative and support service activities by 8.2%  and financial and insurance activities by 7.5%.
In the third quarter of 2014, household final consumption, including non­profit institutions serving households, increased by 1.7% in nominal terms compared to the same period of 2013, and its share in the GDP structure was 67.9%.
In the same period, export of goods and services increased by 13.6% in nominal terms, while Import of goods and services increased by 10.8%. The GDP rose by 3.2 and 4.4 percent in Q1 and Q2 respectively.
At the same time,the unemployment rate in the third quarter was 27.9 percent, which represents a decrease by 0.3 percent compared to the previous quarter, and lower by 0.8 percent in comparison to the same quarter in 2013.
The labour force in the Republic of Macedonia numbered 958,393 persons, of whom 690,965 were employed, while 267,428 were unemployed persons. The activity rate in this period was 57.3 percent and the employment rate was 41.3 percent.
