Weibo Group is preparing to invest and it wants to buy an existing textile plant in Kriva Palanka or its surrounding that is operational, which can be logistic support for training of new employees, PM Nikola Gruevski said on 21.September 2014 answering a journalist question during his visit to Kriva Palanka.

WEIBO Group officials have paid several visits to Macedonia in the past few months. I have held meetings with the company's owner and management. They are looking for an existing facility in Kriva Palanka, a textile plant to buy it and use it as logistic support for training of new employees. We have met several times and they want to have a bigger number of trained textile workers because they want to invest in the zone in Rankovce and to start their activities in December or January next year for construction of a plant.

They are planning to open plants for textile production and other for ready-to-wear plant. They also plan to construct two plants for different types of metal products and to create jobs for at least 5.000 people.

They will invest US$400 million and financing is not a problem for them because they have liquid assets, since the company has a large number of shops and a small share they will cover with a loan, Gruevski said.
