Gruevski: We expect raised salaries, pensions, and social assistance

Budget of Republic of Macedonia deals with some complex circumstances in Europe, globally it is expected next year to have moderate growth, but in European terms is expected low growth.

This was stated by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski during his visit in the news on Sitel TV, and noted that the recovery from the crisis in the European countries is still slow and vulnerable.

In addition, as he emphasized it is contributed by the mini crisis that was created by the situation in Ukraine.

- We are going quite cautiously, careful not to happen or to encounter with situation, which we cannot overcome or that will make us numerous damages, said Gruevski.

Economic growth for next year is projected to be 4 percents of GDP, and the growth of the major carriers of the growth, as Gruevski said, should be construction, foreign investment and increased consumption, which is due to the increase in salaries in administration, pensions, and social aid, which is another realized promise from the pre-election period.

- September salary paid in October will be with four percents increase and it will continue into next year and for September next year is scheduled next increase in pensions by 5 percents, in June next year the increasing of social assistance by five percents, said the Prime Minister.

He added that the budget for 2015 is 163 billion denars expenditures and revenues 181 billion, and the deficit is about 18,5 billion and it is projected around 3.5 percents of GDP.

-I heard speculation in recent days that we would retreat from rising pensions, social benefits and wages, but here, at the yesterday adoption of the budget and its delivering before the parliament, we did the biggest denial, Gruevski said.
