Pavleski: Chinese companies to access Europe through Macedonia

China is interested for cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries especially in participation of construction of railroads and ports in the region, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli said at formal opening of China Investment Forum which is being held on August 28, 2014 Prague.

Agreement on Cooperation for establishment of joint association of governors of provinces of the People's Republic of China and representatives of Central and Eastern Europe countries with main office in the Czech Republic was signed during the local leaders' meeting.

                      

Minister for Foreign Investments Bill Pavleski is accompanied by Skopje mayor and President of Association of Local Self-Government Units (ZELS) Koce Trajanovski, Gostivar mayor Nevzat Bejta and representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Investments Department.

Chinese multinational companies decided to access more aggressively in Europe through Central and Eastern oriented countries as the Czech Republic, Poland and others and also Balkan countries being closer to the sea to Thessaloniki and Athens are also attractive to them, Minister Pavleski stated for MIA.

Pavleski said that the main accent of events is dedicated to projects in infrastructure, highways, railways and energy sector investments.

During bilateral meetings and my presentations we especially paid attention on issue that Chinese companies that want to invest in Europe for production of their goods to make this through Macedonia, Pavleski said adding that good business climate in our country was pointed out as well as positive conditions and favourable fiscal policy.

Pavleski held bilateral meetings with representatives of companies which are present on European markets and expressed interest for transfer of their production in Europe.

On separate meetings he also discussed the cooperation in pharmaceutical industry, investments in infrastructure, production of electrical devices in the country and they showed interest on conditions for the tender for "Cebren" hydro power plant.

Pavleski also met the member of the board of managers and senior managers of car companies Volkswagen, Skoda Auto and Chinese company for telecommunication equipment Huawei.
