"Chinese Evening – Melodies of Shenzhen" in Ohrid,Macedonia

The musical program of this year's edition of the Ohrid Summer Festival closed this evening with the "Chinese Evening – Melodies of Shenzhen", a performance by the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra.The Chinese orchestra  performed in the vestibule of the St. Sophia church.

                   

Lin Daye  conductet the orchestra, which  performed works by Wang Xilin, Wang Ning, Chen Gang/He Zhanhao, Tchaikovsky and Zografski.

Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1982. After the successful debut in 1985 the orchestra developed into a renowned artistic ensemble with over 80 symphonies and 100 famous orchestra works by Chinese and foreign authors on their repertoire. Since 1987, the orchestra has actively performed at concert and festival stages in China and other Asian and European countries with over 100 concerts a year.

                    

The orchestra was the first Asian ensemble invited to perform in the St. Louis Cathedral, Hotel des Invalides de Paris, and in 2013, they performed in UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Many Chinese conductors have collaborated with the Orchestra, as well as conductors from other countries such as Lior Shambadal, Husco Michael, Foster, Smart.
