All students in Macedonia are free to travel by train

All students in Macedonia today are free to travel by train, according to the government's decision for free rail transport on Thursday. The final decision enabled and 50 percents discount on rail tickets for all students and for all pupils.

To be granted with free transportation, students must show student identification card or index. Tickets that will get today, they can use every Thursday.

Government of Republic of Macedonia last month decided that allow free rail transport at certain times of the month to certain categories of citizens. With these decisions free rail transportation have all older people, i.e. women over 62 and men over 64 years, during every second weekend of the month, and for all young people up to 27 years during the third weekend of the month.

This weekend, all adults are free to use the train in the country, and today all students. This is possible according to the government's decisions from last month and so far has been used 1,000 adults, 3,500 young people under 27 years, 600 students, and 1,000 people who bought tickets at discount.

To use the free transportation adults have submit ID card at the ticket office at train stations and based on this will be issued ticket, which includes insurance. At those rail stations that do not have ticket office and that cannot be issued ticket, passengers it can do it after they enter in the train.
