The business forum was attended by more than sixty representatives of companies specializing in automotive, electronics, energy, engineering, banking, mutual funds, textile, and leather industry. Prime Minister Gruevski in his address explained the benefits and advantages that our country provides for foreign investors. Prime Minister Gruevski in his address referred to the ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing and improving the business climate in Macedonia. He noted that we have the lowest cost of doing business in Europe, which allows Macedonia advantage in technological industrial development zones and investment in education, aimed at creating capable and educated workforce. He put emphasis on macroeconomic indicators that create predictable economic environment that is necessary for the business sector.
-We have solid growth, as last year we ended with GDP growth of about 3.1%, which was the third highest growth in Europe in 2013. This year, in the first quarter we have GDP growth of 3.9% as first best performer in Europe, told to the present people, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski.
On behalf of the authorities of Guangdong Wu Kent addressed the attendees. He gave positive assessment of the business forum, held by the Macedonian Government noting that in this way is built very favorable cooperation relations between the two sides. Mr. Wu Ken stressed that Macedonia offers good opportunities for investment companies from Guangdong and said that the authorities from Guangdong encourage businessmen to invest in Macedonia.
-With its unique economic plan and the Republic of Macedonia and Guangdong are at a critical stage of its industrial transformation and upgrading. Both sides have their complementarities and before them stands great future for their cooperation, said Wu Ken in his address.
The fact that the business forum in Guangzhou was organized in collaboration with the group Weibo and involved larger number of partners of the company Weibo gives more chances for realization of potential foreign investment in the Republic of Macedonia.
-We had good attendance and numerous great companies, especially important as many of these companies are partners Weibo group, which has already decided to invest in Macedonia and employ over 5000 people. It increases the chances of these companies as its partners to opt, follow that path, use the good business climate, and invest in Macedonia in order to create jobs, said Stavreski after the business forum.
